Kebony outperforms Thermo and other modified woods

Kebony dually modified wood achieves at the basis a fire classification rating of D-s2,d0 when tested in a laboratory using an SBI test.
Our results show a particularly low FIGRA measurement. This indicator, defined in EN 13823:2020, indicates the speed at which fire spreads across a surface. The lower the result, the better the reaction to fire.

Unlike thermally modified wood —even when treated with fire retardant— or acetylated wood, Kebony Clear and Kebony Character cladding solutions offer significantly higher fire retardant performance without any additional treatment.
